Joy Clement Derise, LMT
Joy Clement Derise, is a licensed massage therapist, a 1980 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School, attended McNeese State University, and is an alumni member of Phi Mu Fraternity. She is a former graduate and instructor at La. Institute of Massage Therapy. She is the owner of Special Touch Therapeutic Massage, opening her doors the day after graduation in June of 1994. She is a proud member of American Massage Therapy Association. She specializes in: Medicupping, AMS Cellulite Reduction, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal and Geriatric therapies as well as Myofascial Release Techniques. She is also qualified in many other modalities, including Manual Post Plastic Surgery Lymphatic Massage.
She is married to Jason. They are members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Her passion is to share with as many people as possible the positive effects of massage.
Lana Watkins, LMT
Lana Watkins grew up in Welsh, Louisiana. After graduating from Welsh High School in 2012, she went on to Northwestern State University to major in accounting and play in the NSU marching band. She attended NSU for four semesters and decided it was not for her. Upon returning to Welsh, she realized she wanted to earn her license in massage therapy. She enrolled at the LA Institute of Massage therapy and graduated in 2016. Lana enjoys connecting and sharing the benefits of massage with her clients. Her specialty is Therapeutic Massage. She also loves deep tissue and sports massage and getting to the source of the problem.
Karly Briscoe, LMT
Karly is a licensed massage therapist. She graduated from Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy in 2012. She has also attended McNeese State University and Louisiana State University in Eunice. She has one daughter, Miyah. She specializes in deep tissue, swedish massage, and hot stone massage, but she can easily adapt to the needs of the client.
Destinee Rideaux, LMT
Destinee is a Licensed Massage Therapist. From the beginning, she has always had a passion for health and wellness. Rooted from that passion, she pursued a career in nursing, attending Sowela Tech Community College. During that time she found another love in kinesiology from working out. Eventually she began to notice wear and tear on her body and found her gateway into massage therapy. She was amazed by the benefits of massage and quickly enrolled into Unitech Training Academy. She graduated in March 2018 and passed her licensing exam in April 2018. She enjoys all modalities of massage with her favorites being deep tissue and Swedish massage. She plans on growing her craft by continuing education courses and majoring in kinesiology at McNeese State University. Her favorite part of the job is helping her clients achieve their goals through massage, whether it’s pain relief, maintenance or relaxation.
