Joy Clement Derise, LMT
Joy Clement Derise, is a licensed massage therapist, a 1980 graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School, attended McNeese State University, and is an alumni member of Phi Mu Fraternity. She is a former graduate and instructor at La. Institute of Massage Therapy. She is the owner of Special Touch Therapeutic Massage, opening her doors the day after graduation in June of 1994. She is a proud member of American Massage Therapy Association. She specializes in: Medicupping, AMS Cellulite Reduction, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal and Geriatric therapies as well as Myofascial Release Techniques. She is also qualified in many other modalities, including Manual Post Plastic Surgery Lymphatic Massage.
She is married to Jason. They are members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Her passion is to share with as many people as possible the positive effects of massage.
Lana Watkins, LMT
Lana Watkins grew up in Welsh, Louisiana. After graduating from Welsh High School in 2012, she went on to Northwestern State University to major in accounting and play in the NSU marching band. She attended NSU for four semesters and decided it was not for her. Upon returning to Welsh, she realized she wanted to earn her license in massage therapy. She enrolled at the LA Institute of Massage therapy and graduated in 2016. Lana enjoys connecting and sharing the benefits of massage with her clients. Her specialty is Therapeutic Massage. She also loves deep tissue and sports massage and getting to the source of the problem.
Karly Briscoe, LMT
Karly is a licensed massage therapist. She graduated from Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy in 2012. She has also attended McNeese State University and Louisiana State University in Eunice. She has one daughter, Miyah. She specializes in deep tissue, swedish massage, and hot stone massage, but she can easily adapt to the needs of the client.
Mason Guillory, LMT, CPFT (WMS, SNS), BFA
Mason was born and raised in Lake Charles but moved to Baton Rouge after high school to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Digital Art and Animation from Louisiana State University. Before attending LSU he became the first ISSA Certified Professional Fitness Trainer in Calcasieu Parish at the age of 18 and earned second certification during his years at LSU from the American Council on Exercise with specializations in Weight Management and Sports Nutrition. Immediately upon graduating LSU he and his brother Jason toured the 48 contiguous states to see the country and learn about life in different parts of America. After returning home he enrolled at the Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2017. He specializes in swedish and therapeutic massage and is currently pursuing certifications and practice in Aromatherapy, deep tissue massage, and trigger point therapy.
Destinee Rideaux, LMT
Destinee is a Licensed Massage Therapist. From the beginning, she has always had a passion for health and wellness. Rooted from that passion, she pursued a career in nursing, attending Sowela Tech Community College. During that time she found another love in kinesiology from working out. Eventually she began to notice wear and tear on her body and found her gateway into massage therapy. She was amazed by the benefits of massage and quickly enrolled into Unitech Training Academy. She graduated in March 2018 and passed her licensing exam in April 2018. She enjoys all modalities of massage with her favorites being deep tissue and Swedish massage. She plans on growing her craft by continuing education courses and majoring in kinesiology at McNeese State University. Her favorite part of the job is helping her clients achieve their goals through massage, whether it’s pain relief, maintenance or relaxation.
Kerry Hofmann, LMT
Kerry Hofmann is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from LIMT in 2014. She was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Louisiana in 1990. Upon moving to Louisiana she worked as a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance producer for 17 years. She found herself wanting to pursue a career in healthcare and went back to school at McNeese State University, was then accepted, after required prerequisites, into the College of Nursing, where she completed her first year of clinicals. Due to personal and unforeseen circumstances exited the program. With time off, her life took a new direction. Kerry enrolled at LIMT to become a massage therapist. After graduation, she went to work for SWLA Sports Rehabilitation for over 3 years. She gained much knowledge working alongside Physical and Occupational Therapists.
Kerry is married and has one son who serves in the United States Navy. She enjoys traveling, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and “fur-babies”. She is also on the road to completing her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.
Kerry has certifications in Lymphatic Drainage, Medicupping, Myofascia Triggerpoint Therapy, and CPR. She looks forward to assisting you in achieving optimal well-being!
Debbie Dayton, LMT, MMP
Debbie is a licensed massage therapist that graduated from Blue Cliff College in 2006. In her life journey, she ended up here in Lake Charles working for Center for Chiropractic for 6 years. She specializes in swedish, deep tissue, hot stones, medical massage and she can also adapt to massage needs. Her desires are to help people learn to relax. She also has a certificate in health coaching. She could help you lose weight with the ketogenic diet, that she done and lost 70 lbs. in a year. She had been married to Bob for 30 years. They have 2 grown girls together and have 4 grandsons.
